Tuesday 31 August was damp at first, both outside and inside the tent, as I'd forgotten to open the vents. However it turned out to be a gorgeous day.
I set off towards Truro, to stay with some folks. I passed a nursery called "Happy feet" - that was to be somewhat ironic! I picked up a penny off the ground - I always pick up any cash. In the North-east the old farmers spoke about a "lucky penny" - it was to be anything but!
One has always to be aware of traffic - at times fast moving - and step out of the way.
Well this time I stepped into a drop - and to cut a long story short, twisted my ankle - Ooops!!
I immediately strapped it up, and I think that did help a little.
Anyway, I continued, and hobbled into Truro, to spend the night in the home, thankfully of a doctor and a nurse!
PS I flung that lucky penny as far as I could, and I am making no more facetious jokes about "happy feet!"
