A Long Haul

The bus - and it was a bus [not a coach] -  from Edinburgh to Plymouth was a long haul [euphemism!].
We started Sunday 21:30 and arrived Monday 13:30. I think we stopped off 13x in city centre bus stations and had 3 comfort stops - unfortunately I did not feel that comfortable. Anyway, we got there :)
I had a 2 hour train journey from there to Penzance. I took a taxi to Land's End - the guy wanted £25 as it was a bank holiday. I said I'd give him £15 - we split the difference. Thank goodness that I was walking back!!
I set off at 16:30 and a feverish thought was looping, round and round, in my mind - man, that was a heck of a long way down here!!!
