Cornwall - a fading memory

Tuesday 7th

Heading for Tavistock, today.
Pulling this rucksack on wheels is a far better workout than any of the Charles Atlas courses that I did as a teenager! For the petrol-heads amongst you, it does not have a wide enough wheel-base, and a serious speed wobble develops, at the drop of a hat.  Speaking of which I have lost my first pair of specs somewhere along the road, so I have purchased a pair of magnifying ones to act as back-up.
Finally crossed the Tamar into Devon at 16:00 hrs!!  :)  Arrived, a little later, in Tavistock to spend the night in a very nice B&B. It cost me £40, but she did want £45!
I think I did about 21 miles, today. I must do better!!

  2. 20 miles a day is a good target to start - enjoy it - take the coastal path via Wales.!! GL

  3. Well done for keeping the blog going, even if you're further ahead on the map than you are on your account of the venture. Just to let you know that we prayed for you yesterday morning at the Men's Breakfast, and again this morning during the Communion Service – you're in our thoughts!

  4. Martin: Thanks for your support.
PP: I wish I could take the coastal path, but time is of an essence. 20 miles is OK, but I'm "walking" around 11/12 hrs - if I were at my normal pace - that would be well over 40 miles per day.
Smok: Thanks for the link, mate I'll take a look
