Wednesday
Very difficult to find accommodation heading north out of Bristol. So carried on until I pitched my tent in a wooded area, at the side of the road. Awoke to a sunny morning.
Thank goodness for roadside mobile cafes. After 2 days surviving mainly on salted peanuts, and 25% reduced fat Digestive biscuits, I decided to try one.
I averted my gaze from the guy's apron which appeared to have a "cultured life" of its own! For that reason I gave the 100% pure beef burger a miss, and plumped for the bacon and egg roll - it was delicious.
Anyway there is a saying in the NE of Scotland: "You eat a ton of dirt before you die."
Wandered through Hardwiche and Quedgeley, into Gloucester.
Whatever you're eating, don't forget to keep drinking plenty, Dave, or you could get dehydrated. Lack of water catches up with you without your realising it :-(
