Went through Monkton Heathfield, for some reason.... but I did see a three-legged dog, who looked really content on his walk, and he gave me inspiration!
Also I noted the town “Bridgwater,” I had wrongly thought it was “Bridgewater” - they must be cutting back on E-letters!
Spent the night in a lovely B&B – Benton House, West Huntspill [and only £30]
Thanks for the B&B recommendation. Nice area the Somerset Levels, and mercifully flat for walkers. Bridgwater smells better, too, since they stopped making Cellophane nearby - the odour used to drift across the A38. Fond memories!
